Prayers for Grandpa

So, I spent the morning arguing with my Grandpa. That sounds kind of cruel, but Pawpaw is in the hospital after surgery and well... he decided he was going home. Then he decided he was going to the bathroom sans his tubes... then, well, my cousin and I pretty much sat on him all morning.

So pray for the Mayor of Campbell's Creek. I wish I could be there round the clock, but I have a workshop in the morning and a little guy running a fever in the next room. Oh to be an octopus with tap shoes! I'm back Sunday.

When I graduated from college, it was quiet when they called my name. Then I heard Buck whoop and holler... I was so happy that he was proud of me. It meant as much as the piece of paper in my hand. He's the only person I know who could give you a compliment and cuss you in the same breathe, and you appreciated it... He was one of the first to hold each of my children and Conner bears two of his names... I cherish the times we hunted Easter eggs, played tag, or went to the rock garden at his house - and the times our children have done the same. I have so many memories of this man, his bullheadedness, and his love and loyalty for his family.

I look forward to my children knowing and loving him for years to come... Conner is one of his biggest fans:-)
