Porch Pics - Flowers, Herbs, & Punks

I'm experimenting with my macro lens and wanted to share. These shots are taken with manual focus and have a "boost" action run in photoshop.These marigolds are on my back porch. I took this with a short field of depth, ie the background is very blurry. This is something I 'm experimenting with...

And you guessed it, here's the Punk in the title. I'm working on color, lighting, and making eyes pop without creating cyborg kids (ooh, those pictures are scary!). So, here's a nice pic of Ry fresh out of the bath tub... OK lighting, beautiful kid, but... bland.



And here's my little supermodel after some photoshop actions & an eye sharpening... The changes are small, but I think they make a big difference (but I"m also a geek, soooooooo).

So, there it is. My 20 minutes of "me" time for today. Off to clean the kitchen, put the kids to bed, & save the world from the scurge of the internet which is bad html coding (there's the geek seeping out again)!
