July 4th Lee Style (Part Deaux)

The 4th rocked once again on the Lee Farm. The rain cheated us out of a parade and 2 mile race, but fun was to be had by all no matter what! We cooked "in" with our friends the Easterlings and had a blast.

There were sparklers (which Conner tried his best to blow out), home made ice cream, weenies (although roasted indoors), creek playin, silly kid games, and (of course) FIREWORKS... which my son also tried to blow out.

Rylee with her sparkler after a creek session...
We have a great field for fireworks and we put it to good use! Yes, Conner is trying his best to blow them out... The kids had a blast & especially liked the ones that screamed. So, if you could hear fireworks & kids screaming around 9 pm, we might be to blame! I'm pretty sure that you could hear us all the way to Kanawha County!

Now, for a cat update. I was about to put my foot down & just name the darn thing CAT since we couldn't agree, but out of the 4th festivities came the name JAKE (after Jake & Elwood)... So, I present to you: Jake Lee.

Conner likes the cat... but not so much clothes.

Jake gives Conner a massage... AAAAAhhhhhhhh!

Rylee enjoys some snuggle time with the Blues kitty.... Jake tolerates it. Good cat!

We're considering getting another one once we get moved & settled...and back from vacation. But it has to be a male & orange of it's a no go.
